elm street.

back 'home', a funny word for me to use because i am not quite sure where to call home these days. but nonetheless, i am on elm street, back to work, back to school after a marathon of trip back from the sweden.

i am having reverse anxiety associated with the posting of more photos - one of which is of the dessert buffet at the ridiculously nice hotel at KL International Airport. the airline hooked me up with lunch and dinner vouchers and a sweet room (king-sized squishy bed, bathtub, i felt like julia roberts) so i could kill the 11 hour stop-over i had before the final leg of the trip to melbourne. they did this despite the fact that i had caused some issues by missing my originally scheduled flight out of stockholm four days earlier, much to my embarrassment, but ultimately i was quite grateful for a few more stolen days with T.

i also had some intention of writing a quick film review on the 10 movies i watched during my flights, some real must-sees in the mix including I Love You, Man (Jason Segel. the best.), Sunshine Cleaners and a German film called Everyone Else. may or may not follow through with that plan.

overall i feel pretty okay, jet-lagged like i never imagined possible, but it is always a good feeling to be at the start of a new semester. it's like all your past laziness and slacking off at school is erased and forgiven, all your poor study habits and lack of motivation for academic excellence feel surmountable. M and i actually downloaded all of the extra readings for our classes, a feat never accomplished so early into a term... almost makes me believe that i won't be a champion procrastinator this time around.

photos to come, but more sleep is required to ensure some degree of alertness on my first day back to the office tomorrow, i start at 7.30 am. hoo-ray for being employed though, yes? :)

peace, love and happy thoughts kids.
