To me jj sounds a bit like the xx meets olive, meets lykke li, meets imogen... meets the Neverending Story? Anyway, the Swedish "electro-pop" duo originally released some tunes in 2009 under the Göteborg-based independent label :: Sincerely Yours :: and are now also signed to an American label called :: Secretly Canadian :: (fantastic name!). I am waiting for them to come home to Sverige, hopefully I can catch them in a small venue... Pustervik perhaps? Thanks Davey for the tip, I know you and Rolls have been talking these guys up since last year... I'm catching on!

Due to the Icelandic volcanic fog, S could not return from Spain to Göteborg in time for the Band of Horses concert last night. Bad news for her, but amazing news for me! No flash allowed so my 10 year digi could not handle taking photos... but I tried anyway.

Swedes are cute and like TV a lot. Oh and most are musically gifted. That may be an overstatement, but in my experience it is true! Loving that he snuck Freaks and Geeks in there, disappointed that he forgot Dawson's Creek.

i like this song. thought it was jason schwartzman singing, then found out the band was called phoenix and got all excited since i remembered that he used to be in a band that's name started with a 'ph'... wiki ruined everything and told me he was in phantom planet.

these kids (15, 18 and 20 years old or something) are siblings and are some weird phenoms. like the cool new hanson. check out the rockabilly sound, i kind of dig the johnny cash influence. they will also be at Meredith this year... oh my!

K invited me to be one of his + 2s for :: M-e-r-e-d-i-t-h:: . this annual festival is epic; famous for its amazing vibe, classy crowd and great musical taste. it's in mid-december so you pray for mid-30 temps, will likely get a down-pour or two... but whatever the weather, this promises to be the best fest in the...east?

hell yeah, i'm totally going to this show! ticketmaster sent me a heads up about the fleetwood mac concert in melbourne this december. then i checked the prices. cheapest one: $210.50.
